The Long Silence

Ever been to that long walk or long drive with nothing to say?  That long awkward silence but with noise full of unexplained thoughts?  Thoughts jumping around begging you to speak! Telling you to say, act or do something with it. You don't know what it is...  But you know that you shouldn't go down that road You know what's right and what's not.  Because you know who you are! What are your values! What defines you! Because you don't think about the present. You are not the person who lives in this timeline. You have already gone through all scenarios  All probabilities, all reactions against each act. You have already lived that moment in your head So, you just stay there. With long awkward silence Whether it's the dinner table That long silent walk That long awkward drive  With nothing to say but staying there in that moment... Choosing not to say anything but living in it... ~ Omer

In the Middle of No Where!

Sometimes you are in a difficult stage of life... You find yourself in the middle of no where. Whatever you do isn't enough, there is some magic which is missing... You just don't know what you feel You just couldn't figure out why you are angry on every other thing I don't know why your mood swings so often than usual You feel lonely like never before Everyone thinks about what they want and tell you but no one asks what you want All your life you live for others, but no one stand up to say I want to live for you! No one! Infact People, who are close to you feel irritated from you... They think you are getting grumpy, paranoid  ............. They don't try to understand but complains instead and ask questions Questions that you yourself have no answers... And you are trying hard to find those answers, but its not working What one should do in this stage? Where to go, what to do, whom to speak? Answer is no one. Its the weight you alone going to lift...

If I had my life to live over

Of course, you can’t unfry an egg, but there is no law against thinking about it. If I had my life to live over, I would try to make more mistakes. I would relax. I know of very few things that I would take seriously. I would go more places. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less bran. I would have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary troubles. You see, I have been one of those fellows who live prudently and sanely, hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I have had my moments. But if I had it to do over again, I would have more of them – a lot more. I never go anywhere without a thermometer, a gargle, a raincoat and a parachute. If I had it to do over, I would travel lighter. If I had my life to live over, I would pay less attention to people telling us we must learn Latin or History; otherwise we will be disgraced and ruined and flunked and failed. I would seek out more teachers who inspire relaxation and fun. If I had ...

How Big is your Problem?

There was once a well-known scholar, who lived in a mountain in the Himalayas. Tired of living with men, he had chosen a simple life and spent most of his time meditating. His fame, however, was so great that people were willing to walk narrow paths, climb steep hills, swim rivers – to meet the holy man who was believed to be able to resolve any trouble of the human heart. The wise man said nothing but asked them to sit and wait. Three days passed, and more people arrived. When there was no room for anyone else, he addressed the people who were outside his door. “Today I will give the answer that everyone wants. But you must promise that, to have your problems solved, you will not tell the new pilgrims that I moved here – so that you can continue to live in the solitude you so much crave. Tell me your problems” . Someone began to speak, but was soon interrupted by others, as everyone knew that this was the last public hearing that the holy man was giving. The wise ma...

Closing Cycles

One always has to know when a stage comes to an end. If we insist on staying longer than the necessary time, we lose the happiness and the meaning of the other stages we have to go through. Closing cycles, shutting doors, ending chapters – whatever name we give it, what matters is to leave in the past the moments of life that have finished. Did you lose your job? Has a loving relationship come to an end? Did you leave your parents’ house? Gone to live abroad? Has a long-lasting friendship ended all of a sudden? You can spend a long time wondering why this has happened. You can tell yourself you won’t take another step until you find out why certain things that were so important and so solid in your life have turned into dust, just like that. But such an attitude will be awfully stressing for everyone involved: your parents, your husband or wife, your friends, your children, your sister, everyone will be finishing chapters, turning over new leaves, getting on with life,...
